30,000 Parking Places
The Indians boast that there are some 30,000 parking spots a short distance from Progressive Field in downtown Cleveland. So, not surprisingly, most folks are driving to Tribe games. There are indeed plenty of garages, surface lots and underground spots within walking distance of the park, and drivers should expect to pay from $10 to $20. As always, the best bet is to choose one of the lots a little further away and walk to the park… you’ll pay less and avoid the jam right around the stadium. The ballpark is right in downtown and easily accessible from major freeways including Interstates 77 and 90. Consult the Tribe’s web site for specific directions.
Fans can also take public transportation to the game. The Red, Blue and Green lines on the Rapid Transit train all stop near the park; exit at the Tower City-Public Square station and take the special walkway that will dump you out at Quicken Loans Arena (home to the Cleveland Cavaliers and adjacent to the Pro). Fares are $1.75 each way, or you can buy a $4 all-day pass. Several bus routes also serve the ballpark or get you close, although the bus system is a little less reliable.
