Getting to Tiger Stadium
When you’ve got tens of thousands of fans descending on campus on game day, it creates some parking and transportation issues. Motorists are encouraged to carpool and arrive early in order to find parking. River Road, Nicholson Drive, Highland Road and Dalrymple Drive all provide access from the north, and parking can be found at various spots. If you’re approaching the stadium from the east or south, use either College Drive, Acadian/Stanford exit, Highland Road or Burbank Drive and Nicholson Drive.
An hour prior to kickoff, police will direct one-way traffic only toward Tiger Stadium on Highland Road, West Lakeshore Drive, Nicholson Drive Extension and on Dalrymple Drive. The LSU web site provides directions, parking information and a helpful map:
Also, there is a shuttle that leaves from downtown Baton Rouge and buses fans to the game. It costs $10 for the roundtrip, and a police escort ensures a relatively speedy trip to the stadium. Information on the shuttle can be found at the above address.
